Currently we don't offer any ready-to-build kits for the CPS 5. You will source the parts yourself, however we make this process easy with our frequently updated Bill Of Materials.

You don't need any experience to start the course. We will teach you all of the advanced assembly techniques you need to finish the project. With a build this advanced you might run into some issues, but we're always here to help you!

You don't need to have your own 3D printer. You can order your prints online or in your local 3D printing shop.

You can use any standard FDM 3D printer.
The minimum required build volume dimensions are:
180mm (width) x 180mm (length) x 200mm (height) (7.1 x 7.1 x 7.9 inch)

Yes, we teach how to build an underwater tether in the course. There are other solutions but they're very expensive ($3K+) and not very practical.

The dimensions of the drone are:

230mm (width) x 384mm (length) x 102mm (height) (or 9.1 x 15.1 x 4.0 inch)

It's actually not the 3D printed body which makes the drone waterproof. It's the acrylic pipe inside of the 3D printed shell that keeps the electronics enclosed away from the water.
