The CPS 5 underwater drone is made on the Raspberry Pi platform, which means that it is fully digital and modern. It features a 1080p, digital camera, which makes the onboard video crisp and sharp. The camera can even be mounted on our camera tilting system to enable you to look up and down when under the water surface.
The ROV features a fully 3D printed frame, which can be printed with any 3D printer with build size of at least 180 x 180 x 200 millimeters. Custom 3D printed attachments can be added and the design can be modified to suit your needs.
The CPS 5 has 5 (really) powerful motors, which enable it to pull things, and travel as fast as 2 m/s.
It also features self leveling algorithms, with which the drone can automatically hold any orientation you desire. With 5 degrees of freedom and camera tilting system, the CPS 5 is one of the most maneuverable drones out there! (see the video on the right for the self leveling)
Most of all, you can build this beautiful looking product with widely available components only! No custom PCB making or anything like that! If you want, you can even lower the price of your drone by not including components like LEDs, cameras and it will still work perfectly well!
